Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) are set to face off at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on March 28, marking the second match for both teams in IPL 2024.
The match is all set to begin at 7:30pm tonight. The clash will feature the captains Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson leading their respective teams.
In their previous game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on March 24, Rajasthan secured a victory after posting a total of 193/4 while batting first. Sanju Samson’s impressive innings of 82 off 52 balls, supported by Riyan Parag’s 43 off 29 balls and Dhruv Jurel’s quick 20 off 12 balls, contributed significantly to their score. Rajasthan’s bowlers then restricted LSG to 173/6, securing a 20-run win.
On the other hand, Delhi Capitals witnessed the return of skipper Rishabh Pant in their first match. After a 15-month hiatus, Pant scored 18 off 13 balls before being dismissed by Harshal Patel. Despite no major individual scores, the team collectively managed to score 174/9. However, DC couldn’t defend their total as Punjab Kings (PBKS) successfully chased down the target in 19.2 overs.
Head-to-head records between RR and DC show that they have competed in 27 IPL matches. DC has won 13 of these encounters, while RR has secured victory in 14 matches. DC’s highest total against RR stands at 207 runs, whereas RR’s highest score against DC is 222 runs.
