Pakistan’s campaign in the T20 World Cup 2024 began on an underwhelming note when they lost their first match, at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, to The United States of America in the super over. The “men in green” were looking forward to securing a win against India in their second T20 World Cup match.
However, Rohit Sharma’s men put up a strong game against them and defeated them by 6 runs. The match took place at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. This loss put them in a tough spot, almost on the verge of being eliminated from the Super 8 race.
However, Pakistan can still qualify for the next round. To stay in the race, Babar Azam’s men will have to win both their upcoming matches against Canada and Ireland. They will also have to rely on luck going their way. Their fate depends on the outcomes of India and USA’s upcoming matches.
