During a recent unboxing event organized by the IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore, Norwegian DJ and music producer Alan Walker conveyed his congratulations to Virat Kohli on the birth of his son Akaay. Kohli, who serves as the team’s captain, and his wife, actor Anushka Sharma, welcomed their son Akaay on February 15, 2024.
At the event held in Bangalore, Alan extended his well wishes to Virat, initially believing that the couple had welcomed a baby girl. However, Kohli swiftly corrected him, informing Alan that they had recently become parents to a baby boy. The interaction between the two quickly gained traction on social media. In a viral video clip, Kohli warmly welcomed Alan to India, to which the singer responded, “It’s great to be back.” Alan then mistakenly remarked, “I just heard you got a daughter?” Kohli promptly corrected him, stating, “I just had a son.” Confirming the correction, Alan exclaimed, “A son?” Upon Kohli’s confirmation, Alan responded, “Wow, congratulations! Amazing.”

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma embraced parenthood for the second time in February. The couple shared the joyous news with their fans on their respective social media platforms. “With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February. We welcomed our baby boy Akaay & Vamika’s little brother into this world. We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time,” the note read.
Virat and Anushka, who exchanged vows on December 11, 2017, in Italy, have chosen to keep their children away from the public eye, opting not to reveal their faces to the world. On the professional front, Anushka’s next project is the biographical sports drama, Chakda Express.
