Officials announced on Monday that four police officers had been suspended over claims they had put a gun in a young person’s car in order to frame him in a fictitious case.
The young man’s father, Dinesh Kumar, claimed that on July 21, when his son was driving home from an event, some police officers stopped his car in a market and forcibly put a weapon inside. He claimed that after a case was filed against him, he was imprisoned.
The scene of the incident was near the Shikarpur police station. Online, a rumored video of the event appeared, in which police officers are seen taking a weapon off a motorcycle and putting it in a car.
