A devastating fire in Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar claimed the lives of seven people in the early hours of the morning. The tragedy unfolded when a massive blaze erupted in a tailoring shop, sending shockwaves of panic throughout the neighborhood.
Officials reported that among the casualties were three women, two men, and two children who tragically lost their lives in the fire. The incident occurred around 4 am, as residents were fast asleep in their homes.
Upon receiving the distress call, firefighters swiftly responded to the scene, battling the fierce flames to bring the situation under control. Despite their efforts, by the time the fire was extinguished, seven lives had been lost.
Manoj Lohiya, the Police Commissioner of Sambhaji Nagar, disclosed that the fire originated in the Alam Tailors shop. While the fire did not spread to the residential floors above, where inhabitants resided, it is suspected that the victims may have succumbed to smoke inhalation.
The tragic event has left the community in mourning and authorities scrambling to determine the cause of the fire. Post-mortem examinations have been ordered for the victims as investigations into this devastating incident continue.
