Assam CM Grants Land Titles to 11,483 Families in Lakhimpur

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma distributed land titles to 11,483 families in Lakhimpur during the land Patta distribution function held for Basundhara 2.0 Project beneficiaries in Dhakuakhana Legislative Constituency (LAC) on Monday.

In Lakhimpur district, a total of 20,419 applicants have been identified who are eligible to receive land titles under the Basundhara 2.0 scheme.
Specifically, Bihpuria LAC has 1,253 land pattas, Ranganadi LAC has 1,352 land pattas, Nawboicha LAC has 3,244 land pattas, Lakhimpur LAC has 3,244 land pattas, Lakhimpur LAC has 387 land pattas and the rest is from Dhakuakhana LAC.

Address CM Sarma met in Dhakuakhana town to address the government’s commitment to provide meaningful opportunities to indigenous people through land ownership.

He pointed out that many non-tribal indigenous communities in Lakhimpur face problems in obtaining land titles due to tribal rules.
br>In response, the government launched the Basundhara 2.0 Project to solve land problems of communities, especially in Lakhimpur and Dhemaji districts.
CM Sarma announced that Basundhara Mission 3.0 will focus on allocating land ownership to institutions such as temples and institutions as well as individuals.

He talked about plans to reduce the strict regulations of the previous job to facilitate more approvals.

CM reiterated the government’s determination to fulfill its promises, including recruitment of 100,000 youth into government services.

CM Sarma expressed hope that Assam will emerge as the most successful state and called for a change in the way ‘Andora culture’ works.
He has full faith in the social unity that will carry the country forward. MP Pradan Barua, MLA Naba Kumar Doley, Mising Autonomous Council Chairman Sunil Pegu and others participated in the project.

“Land Patta” means an agreement entered into by the government with an individual or association that provides tax exemption for land.
