BJP’s Virudhunagar Candidate Commences Lok Sabha Election Campaign In Tamil Nadu

Actor-turned-politician Radhika Sarathkumar, contesting as the BJP candidate from Virudhunagar Lok Sabha constituency, commenced her election campaign at Thirunagar, Madurai. Expressing confidence in her party’s prospects, Sarathkumar emphasized the desire of the people for a robust government representative who can effectively address their needs.

“People are clear that they want a strong government and they want somebody who can represent them very clearly and get their work done. Wait for the manifesto to come out,” Sarathkumar conveyed while speaking to Media.

In parallel, Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai launched scathing criticisms against the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and its leader MK Stalin, labeling them as adversaries of Tamil Nadu and its citizens. Addressing a public rally, Annamalai underscored the BJP’s commitment to contesting the elections while lambasting the INDI alliance for its lack of clarity on a prime ministerial candidate.

“MK Stalin and DMK are the enemies of Tamil Nadu and the people of the state. Today, it is only the BJP that is in the field and campaigning for the election,” Annamalai asserted during the rally.

He further castigated the INDI alliance, highlighting its absence of a designated prime ministerial candidate and questioning the coalition’s coherence. Annamalai stressed the BJP’s dedication to addressing national issues and credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his leadership and achievements over the past decade.

“Our NDA candidates are working very hard. People are going to vote with a national perspective and come April 19, all of Tamil Nadu is waiting to honor Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji for the kind of work he has done in the past 10 years,” Annamalai declared optimistically.

Annamalai also called upon the ruling DMK government to provide accountability for its electoral promises, contrasting the BJP’s fulfillment of its manifesto commitments with the alleged shortcomings of the DMK administration.

“If you look at our 2019 election manifesto, we have implemented all our 295 promises. Whereas at DMK, out of the 511 promises they made, they haven’t even implemented 20. We are demanding MK Stalin to present a white paper on all his poll promises and what he has done in the last 33 months,” Annamalai asserted.

With fervor building ahead of the polls, Annamalai predicted a significant wave of support for PM Modi in Tamil Nadu, expressing confidence in the BJP’s electoral prospects. He anticipated a resounding victory for the party and its allies, heralding a new era of governance under Modi’s leadership.

The upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Tamil Nadu are scheduled to take place in the first phase on April 19, encompassing all 39 parliamentary constituencies in the state. In the previous general elections in 2019, the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance clinched a sweeping victory, securing 38 out of 39 seats.

As the electoral battleground heats up, political contenders are intensifying their campaigns, vying for voter support and positioning themselves for a competitive electoral showdown. With the BJP and DMK at the forefront of the political discourse, the forthcoming elections in Tamil Nadu are poised to shape the state’s political trajectory and influence national dynamics.
