Child Rescued After Falling into Sewer in Delhi’s Defence Colony Due to Faulty Covering

In a concerning incident in Delhi’s Defense Colony, an eight-year-old child fell into a sewer after standing on a plywood cover that gave way. The police, upon arriving at the scene, discovered that the sewer lid had been inadequately covered with plywood, which broke under the child’s weight.

Prompt action by nearby residents led to the immediate rescue of the child. Fortunately, he did not sustain any major injuries during the fall.

Authorities are now looking into the safety measures and maintenance protocols in the area to prevent similar incidents in the future.
