A tragic fire incident claimed the lives of four individuals at a residential building in Shahdara during the early hours of Thursday. The victims were identified as Manoj (30), Suman (28), and two young girls aged five and three and a half, respectively.
Local authorities swiftly responded to the emergency, dispatching four fire tenders, ambulances, and three PCR Vans to the scene. The fire originated in the parking area before spreading to other sections of the building. Despite the narrow street posing challenges, firefighters managed to contain and extinguish the flames.

Police reported that nine individuals were successfully rescued and transported to the hospital for treatment. DCP Shahdara Surendra Chaudhary stated, “We received a distress call at Geeta Colony Police Station about a significant fire at a residence around 5:30 am. Promptly, local law enforcement, fire brigade, ambulances, and PCR vans rushed to the location. Nine individuals were rescued and taken to the hospital.”
