The discovery of a young man’s body inside a septic tank at a residence in the Anand Parbat area of the national capital has prompted suspicions of murder linked to an extramarital affair. Police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
Authorities were alerted to a foul odor emanating from a home in Anand Parbat, leading them to uncover the deceased individual in the septic tank upon investigation. The victim was identified as Madhav, a 30-year-old resident of the same area.
The tenant of the house where the body was found is reportedly missing and is a person of interest in the investigation, according to Delhi Police. Mohan Kumar Pandey, the landlord, revealed that Madhav had been residing in his property as a tenant for the past five months. Pandey recounted that Madhav had left his mobile phone at home on the day of Holi and never returned after going to celebrate in the neighborhood.
During the course of their inquiry, police discovered a photograph of a woman on Madhav’s phone. Subsequently, upon visiting the woman’s residence, neighbors reported a similar foul smell emanating from her home. Upon searching the premises, authorities recovered Madhav’s decomposed remains from the septic tank.
Mohan Kumar Pandey expressed suspicions that Madhav may have been involved in an illicit relationship with the married woman, leading to his demise.
A neighbor named Aman recounted the extensive search operation conducted by police inside the house, which ultimately led to the grim discovery of the body in the septic tank. The body appeared to have been submerged for over a week, given its advanced state of decomposition.
Delhi Police are actively pursuing the whereabouts of the missing tenant and his wife, who are subjects of interest in the ongoing investigation.
