Tejashwi Yadav Stirs Controversy Again With New Helicopter Video

Tejashwi Yadav, the son of Lalu Yadav, found himself at the center of controversy yet again after posting a video of an “orange party” on a helicopter, accompanied by former minister Mukesh Sahni. This comes shortly after the uproar caused by a video showing them enjoying a fish meal during Navratri.

“Hello friends, there was an orange party in the helicopter today. They won’t be irritated by the color orange, right?” posted Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), on social media.

The color orange is closely associated with the BJP, one of the major political rivals of the Lalu Prasad Yadav-led RJD. In the video, Tejashwi Yadav and Mukesh Sahni can be seen having oranges, with Sahni commenting, “We are having oranges today. The BJP will have issues with this too. They will find a religion angle in this too. Shouldn’t we eat or drink at all? They say it’s our bhagwa (saffron) color, bhai, it’s not just yours, but ours too. If it’s an edible item, we will eat it.”

Tejashwi Yadav added that the oranges were given to them by the public.

This new video came after the duo faced criticism for a previous video showing them enjoying a fish meal in the helicopter. Many internet users accused them of insensitivity during Navratri, a period when devotees traditionally follow a strict vegetarian diet.

Firebrand BJP leader and Bihar MP Giriraj Singh labeled Tejashwi Yadav a “seasonal Sanatani” and accused the RJD of playing appeasement politics.

In response, Tejashwi Yadav clarified that the fish meal video was dated April 8 (Monday), while Navratri began the following day. “We had uploaded this video to test the IQ of the BJP and Godi media followers and we were proved right in our thinking. The tweet says ‘Dinank’ i.e. Date, but what do the poor blind followers know,” said Mr. Yadav.

The RJD leader’s recent posts have stirred up debates on social media, with reactions ranging from support to criticism. This incident adds to the ongoing political heat in Bihar as the state gears up for important political campaigns and elections.
