A new chapter in one of cricket’s oldest rivalries will unfold on June 9 as India faces Pakistan in New York during the T20 World Cup, according to the schedule announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The tournament, co-hosted by the West Indies and the US, will begin on June 1, with India placed in Group A alongside Ireland, Pakistan, Canada, and the US.
The highly anticipated clash between India and Pakistan is scheduled for June 9 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in Long Island. The tournament involves 20 teams, and India’s campaign starts with a match against Ireland on June 5, followed by the much-awaited encounter against Pakistan on June 9. India will also face Canada and the USA on June 12 and June 15, respectively.
The T20 World Cup will feature 55 matches across six venues in the West Indies and three venues in the USA. The Group Stage will be played from June 1 to June 18, followed by the Super 8 stage from June 19 to June 24. The semi-finals are scheduled for June 26 and June 27, with the tournament concluding on June 29.
