Prime Minister Narendra Modi, through a virtual event, handed out more than 50,000 appointment letters to recently recruited individuals. During his address, he highlighted the success of the Rozgar Mela, an initiative started in October last year, which has facilitated the distribution of job offers to lakhs of young people.
PM Modi emphasized the significance of this occasion by stating that even though Diwali is around the corner, this event is no less than a festival for the 50,000 recipients and their families.
The Rozgar Mela is being conducted at 37 locations nationwide and involves recruitments in various Central Government Departments, as well as support from State governments and Union Territories. The newly hired employees will be joining various Ministries and Departments, including the Ministry of Railways, Department of Posts, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Revenue, Department of Higher Education, Department of School Education and Literacy, and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, among others.
This initiative is aligned with the Prime Minister’s commitment to prioritize employment generation, and the Rozgar Mela is expected to play a crucial role in creating more job opportunities and empowering the youth to participate in national development. The newly appointed individuals will also have the opportunity to enhance their skills through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online module offered on the iGOT Karmayogi portal, providing access to more than 750 e-learning courses in a ‘learn anywhere, on any device’ format.
