AAP unveils ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana’ scheme

AAP has called upon the people of Delhi to support the INDIA bloc in the upcoming elections, stressing the importance of unity to overcome obstacles posed by the central government. This appeal follows the presentation of the Delhi budget, amounting to Rs 76,000 crore, by Finance Minister Atishi at the Delhi Vidhan Sabha.

Addressing the public, Chief Minister Kejriwal emphasized the challenges faced by his government, accusing the BJP, LG, and the central government of consistently obstructing their work. He underscored the significance of electoral support, highlighting the necessity of a strong representation in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha to counteract interference.

Furthermore, Kejriwal reiterated his stance on the summons by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), labeling them as illegal. He expressed willingness to cooperate via video conferencing, asserting his right to fair treatment while challenging the legality of the summons.

In a landmark announcement, Atishi unveiled the ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana’, a revolutionary initiative aimed at empowering women above 18 years of age. Under this scheme, eligible women will receive Rs 1,000 per month, marking a significant step towards financial independence and gender equality. The budget allocates Rs 2,714 crore for this purpose, reflecting the government’s commitment to women’s welfare and empowerment.

Chief Minister Kejriwal, expressing his gratitude to the people of Delhi, lauded the implementation of the scheme, emphasizing its transformative impact on the lives of women. He reiterated his dedication to public service, underscoring the government’s focus on providing quality education and inclusive development.

The proposed scheme has garnered widespread acclaim for its potential to address socio-economic disparities and enhance women’s participation in the workforce. With the upcoming elections on the horizon, the announcement is expected to influence electoral dynamics, with women’s empowerment emerging as a central issue in the political discourse.
