The Lok Sabha concluded its budget session today by adjourning sine die, marking the culmination of the 17th Lok Sabha’s tenure. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reflected on the past five years of the BJP-led government, characterizing them as a period of “reform, perform, and transform” for the nation. He commended Speaker Om Birla’s leadership in conducting parliamentary affairs and expressed confidence in the transformative impact of government initiatives.
Modi emphasized the significance of the day within the democratic tradition, acknowledging the collective efforts made during the 17th Lok Sabha’s term to address challenges and make important decisions for the country’s progress.
As the Lok Sabha elections are scheduled for April-May, Modi called for a recommitment to serving the nation after five years of ideological journey and dedicated time.
