Alleged kingpin of an international drug trafficking network Jaffer Sadiq nabbed by NCB

As per an NCB official, Jaffer Sadiq is the mastermind of a network spread over India, New Zealand, Australia, and Malaysia.

He has been accused of earning huge amount of money via drug trafficking and then investing it in industries like films, constructions, hospitality etc.

Accused Sadiq was arrested in relation to seizure of 50 kg of pseudoephedrine in Delhi.

Methamphetamine which is the highest drug in demand worldwide is made of Pseudoephedrine.

Jaffer headed a network that sourced Pseudoephedrine in India and traded it to 3 countries namely New Zealand, Australia and Malaysia. It is said to be believed that 45 consignments have been sent to various countries over the past 3 yrs.

Official further states that Sadiq earned a large amount of money from his illegal drug trafficking operations and invested it in legit business like film, construction and hospitality, etc.
