Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma heads to Manipur, to meet CM Biren Singh

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is scheduled to visit Manipur. He will is set to meet with his Manipur counterpart, N. Biren Singh, and other MLAs during his visit.

The visit comes amid a recent surge in violence in Manipur. The violence began in May 2023, following a ‘Tribal Solidarity March’ in the hill districts.
