After beating FC Bayern Munich at Villa Park, Aston Villa are all set to host the Manchester United. The Red Devils will travel to East Midlands after earning a single point against the Portuguese side FC Porto. With sacking speculations hovering around, it is a must win game for the Dutchman. On the contrary, Unai Emery’s side enter this game with absolute confidence beating German giants FC Bayern Munich in their last European game.

Renaisancee at East Midlands?

In the year 2022, East Midlands club Aston Villa were fighting relegation with their manager and former Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard. Fast forward to two years, they are beating FC Bayern Munich at the Villa park. When Unai Emery joined the Aston Villa, they were battling relegation.

Emery not only saved Villa from relegation in 2022, but also confirmed their finish in the top 4 in the year 2023 securing a birth in the biggest competition of Europe, UEFA Champions League. Playing Champions League after 22 years, last Wednesday Villa beat one of the biggest clubs in Europe Bayern Munich. The same opponents who they beat to win the 1982 European Cup.

With Unai Emery on the wheel, Aston Villa look all ready for this season. This weekend they face the Red Devils in the Premier League this season. The Old Trafford side have been struggling massively this season, but Emery doesn’t rule out them to be the favorites of this fixture.

” They are a strong team with very good coach, and experienced players. They are serial winners, as you know they won FA Cup against City last season” said the former Villareal coach.

” When I arrived here, they beat us in the first four games both home and away, it’s just shows their quality” said Unai Emery.

It’s a magic that Erik Ten Hag is still the coach of Manchester United.

The reports suggests that Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Radcliffe has given only one more chance to sort out all the mess for Erik Ten Hag. The Dutchman is given one more chance to prove his worth at Old Trafford despite poor run.

From the very beginning, Ten Hag have been very vocal about the support he is getting from the management.

While speaking to the media Ten Hag said ” We are in this together, I brought a new staff and few more youngsters. ” said former Ajax man

“We need to fit all of them together and need to integrate them into the team” said the Dutchman

” There are some more areas where we will improve, this team will definetly grow and improve” said the Old Trafford man

” Then we will see where we will end up this season ” said the FA Cup winning manager.

Ten Hag’s future now will be dependent on 6th October at Villa Park.

In the last two seasons, ever since Ten Hag and Emery have been the managers of their respective clubs. Man United have won all the fixtures. Meanwhile, Aston Villa have been in the form of their life this season beating Bayern in their last game.

This game will end in a result of 2-2 draw.
