The General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, announced that the idol of Lord Ram would be placed in the ‘Garbh Griha’ of the temple on January 18, with the Pran Pratishtha ceremony scheduled for January 22 at 12:20 pm. The auspicious timing was determined by Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid of Varanasi. The religious rituals will commence on January 16 and continue until January 21, leading up to the idol placement. The ceremony is expected to involve a 150-200kg idol, and formal procedures will begin on January 16. The Pran Pratishtha ceremony is set to conclude by 1 pm on January 22, with darshan closed to the public on January 20 and 21.
The ceremony will be overseen by 121 Acharyas, led by Luckshmikant Dixit of Kashi, and will witness the presence of dignitaries including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, UP Governor Anandiben Patel, and CM Yogi Adityanath. Representatives from various spiritual traditions and traditions of more than 150 traditions will be present at the ceremony. The enthusiasm for Ram Lalla’s consecration is evident nationwide, with contributions and gifts pouring in from different states, including water, soil, gold, silver, gems, and more. The preparations for the Ram Temple inauguration on January 22 are in full swing, and the event is anticipated to attract dignitaries and people from all walks of life, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled to attend. Ayodhya, as the birthplace of Lord Rama, holds immense spiritual, historical, and cultural significance for the people of India.
