The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unveiled its election manifesto, titled “Sankalp Patra,” on Sunday at its headquarters in New Delhi, highlighting key promises including a commitment to periodically increase Minimum Support Price (MSP) if elected to power for a third term.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with top party leaders including Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, presented the manifesto. The document outlined a comprehensive vision to empower farmers and strengthen agricultural initiatives across the country.
The manifesto emphasized the BJP’s dedication to enhancing the welfare and dignity of farmers, highlighting initiatives such as the PM KISAN scheme, PM Fasal Bima Yojana, and the establishment of new clusters for vegetable production and storage.
“We have empowered our Kisans through measures like soil health cards, micro-irrigation, crop insurance, seed supply, and direct financial assistance under PM Kisan Samman Yojana. We have significantly increased MSP for major crops and will continue to raise it periodically,” the manifesto stated.
Under the theme of ‘Modi ki guarantee,’ the manifesto underscored Prime Minister Modi’s focus on GYAN – the poor, youth, farmers, and women. It outlined plans to strengthen the PM Fasal Bima Yojana with technological interventions for improved assessment, faster payouts, and grievance resolution.
The BJP pledged to support farmers in achieving self-reliance in pulse and edible oil production, promoting the cultivation of nutritious vegetables, and establishing storage and logistics facilities in vegetable production clusters.

“We will promote millets for food security, nutrition, and environmental sustainability, aiming to make Bharat a Global Millet Hub,” the manifesto added.
In response to recent farmer protests and demands for MSP guarantees, the BJP reiterated its commitment to agricultural support and proposed initiatives such as the National Mission on Natural Farming and the Krishi Infrastructure Mission.
The party also promised to launch technology-enabled irrigation initiatives, develop digital agriculture infrastructure, expand dairy cooperatives in villages, and prioritize the protection and enhancement of indigenous cattle breeds.
The election manifesto reflects the BJP’s vision to prioritize farmer welfare, strengthen agricultural infrastructure, and promote sustainable farming practices if entrusted with a third term in government.
