During a parliamentary session on Saturday, BJP MP Satyapal Singh hailed the recent construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya as a historic event, emphasizing its significance beyond communal lines. Initiating the discussion on the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishta, Singh highlighted the spiritual importance of Lord Ram and described the temple construction as a momentous occasion for all.
Singh underscored that the construction of the Ram Temple is not a communal issue but rather a source of inspiration, noting that Lord Ram represents the epitome of righteousness. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to address Parliament on the auspicious occasion of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, which took place on January 22 in Ayodhya.
Asserting the universality of Lord Ram’s presence, Singh stated, “Ram is everywhere,” emphasizing the widespread reverence for the deity. He also criticized the previous Congress-led UPA government’s handling of religious matters, citing a controversial affidavit filed in 2007 regarding the Ram Setu project.
Today marks the culmination of the current budget session of Parliament, which precedes the upcoming general elections scheduled for April-May. The session, initially slated to conclude on February 9, has been extended by a day. Additionally, the Rajya Sabha will hold discussions on the White Paper released by the Centre and the Pran Pratistha of Ram Lalla during today’s session.
