In the latest developments the wait is almost over, as the Election Commission has come up with an announcement.
The schedule for the Lok Sabha election will be announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Saturday afternoon.
Additionally, the Commission will unveil the election schedules for the state Assemblies of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh.
The Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, along with the two newly appointed Commissioners Gyanendra Kumar and Sukbir Singh Sandhu, will make this announcement during a press conference at Vigyan Bhavan in the national capital at 3 PM.
Kumar and Sandhu officially assumed their roles on Friday morning following their appointment. The decision regarding the announcement of Assembly polls for Jammu and Kashmir remains unclear at this time.
It’s worth noting that in 2019, the Election Commission had disclosed the poll schedule on March 10.
