Canadian Police Confirms Death of Notorious Gangster Sukhdool Singh Gill in Winnipeg

The Winnipeg Police Service has officially confirmed the demise of Sukhdool Singh Gill, a known gangster in Winnipeg, Canada. The police’s homicide unit has successfully identified the victim as Gill and has communicated the unfortunate news to his family. An ongoing investigation into the matter is presently underway.

In the words of the Winnipeg Police Service, “The Homicide Unit has now identified the victim as 39-year-old Sukhdool Singh Gill, and notifications to family members have been made. The investigation is ongoing.”

The incident occurred on September 20, approximately at 10 am local time, in the North Inkster Industrial area, as per the Winnipeg Police Service. Responding to the scene were officers from the North District General Patrol, who were supported by members of the Tactical Support Team. They arrived at a residence located in the 200 block of Hazelton Drive, where they discovered the lifeless body of an adult male victim. Following the discovery, the victim was transported to the hospital, and the homicide unit initiated a thorough investigation. Presently, no arrests have been made in connection to this case.

On another front, multiple Indian agencies have corroborated reports of the death of the sought-after gangster Sukhdool Singh, who was also known as Sukha Duneke, in Winnipeg, Canada. It is widely reported that Duneke fell victim to a fatal shooting by an unidentified assailant. His family in Punjab has also confirmed this tragic event.

SSP Moga J Elanchezhian provided insight, stating, “His uncle and daughter here have given information about his death. We are authenticating the details. As per our records, 15-16 cases are registered against him.”

Sources suggest that Sukhdool Singh’s demise may be linked to the retribution for the killing of Gurlal Brar, a close relative of US-based gangster Goldy Brar. A gang member affiliated with Lawrence Bishnoi asserted responsibility for the murder, claiming that Sukhdool Singh was gunned down in his Winnipeg city flat. It is reported that the execution was carried out by two gang members who targeted Sukhdool, firing eight bullets into his head at his Winnipeg residence.

Furthermore, sources indicate that Goldy Brar orchestrated this hit to send a clear message that Sukhdool had met his fate as payback for the murder of his cousin Gurlal. Gurlal Brar, a former student leader of the Student Organisation of Panjab University (SOPU), was tragically shot dead in October 2020 outside a nightclub in Chandigarh’s Phase-1 Industrial Area.

Sukhdool Singh, who was associated with the Davinder Bambiha gang from Moga district, managed to flee Punjab in 2017 with the help of local policemen, despite being embroiled in seven criminal cases. He acquired forged documents, including a passport and police clearance certificate, to facilitate his escape to Canada.

Sukhdool Singh was reportedly associated with pro-Khalistan groups and maintained connections with Canada-based Khalistan operative Arshdeep Singh, also known as Arsh Dala, a designated terrorist in India. His criminal record was characterized by extortion calls and involvement in contracted killings, with more than 20 criminal cases related to murder and other serious offenses registered against him in Punjab and neighboring states.
