Central crime branch arrests 5 suspected terrorists

On July 19, a large-scale terrorist plot was thwarted in Bengaluru, where the alleged terrorists intended to set off an explosion. The Central Crime Branch (CCB) and the intelligence division worked together to apprehend the five alleged terrorists in various parts of the city. The following information about the five terror suspects, Sayed Suhel, Umar, Junaid, Mudasir, and Jahid, is being gleaned during their interrogations. Along with numerous explosive materials, their telephones have been taken.

Four walkie-talkies, Seven country-made pistols, 42 live bullets Ammunition, Two daggers, Two satellite phones, and four grenades have been seized.

According to official sources, the suspected terrorists were about to carry out a significant terror act in the city. Furthermore, it was asserted that Junaid was developing the terror scheme while incarcerated in Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Central prison, where he had touch with a terrorist and was serving time for a murder case in 2017.
According to sources, the suspect is connected to the terrorist and is a member of the Jamaat-e-Islami group. The suspect and the terrorist had a lengthy talk inside the prison, during which the suspect said he was “ready to do everything.” Afterward, the ‘Jamaat-e-Islami’ handlers taught Junaid and his companions how to start public fires.
An investigation has been opened to find any hidden components of the terror conspiracy.
