Chandrababu Naidu Tours Flood-Affected Regions in Andhra’s Bapatla, Voices Concerns Regarding Aftermath of Cyclone

TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu conducted a visit to Yanadi Colony in Bapatla town, Andhra Pradesh, on Saturday to meet with residents grappling with prolonged waterlogging, persisting even three days after Cyclone Michaung. Expressing deep concern over the ongoing issues, Naidu highlighted the inadequate facilities provided by the ruling government to those affected by the flood aftermath.

Reflecting on the proactive measures taken during the TDP regime, Naidu recalled the swift distribution of 25 kilograms of rice and essential groceries to calamity-affected individuals. However, he criticized the current state government for its failure to offer sufficient support and relief to the flood-affected population.

Affirming his dedication to Bapatla’s development, Naidu drew parallels with successful initiatives in Hyderabad during his tenure, pledging comprehensive development under TDP’s leadership for the well-being of residents. As Naidu continues to assess the situation, questions arise regarding the ruling government’s responsibility to address immediate needs and prevent further distress in the cyclone’s aftermath.

Earlier, Naidu accused the Andhra Pradesh government of neglecting precautionary measures for Cyclone Michaung, predicting electoral consequences similar to the BRS government in Telangana. Criticizing the government’s failure in preventing cyclone damage, Naidu expressed concern for farmers facing complete losses and tenant farmers in dire situations. His visit aimed to investigate ground-level problems and exert pressure on the state government for justice, highlighting the extensive damage to ready-for-harvest crops due to the cyclone and subsequent drowning in rainwater when irrigation water was unavailable.
