Bhupesh Baghel, the chief minister of Chhattisgarh, provided an aid package worth Rs. 11 crores to support for those in Himachal Pradesh who have been impacted by the torrential rains and landslides.
An official statement claims that CM Baghel spoke with Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. He promised that all required measures would be made and that the nation stands with the people of Himachal Pradesh during these trying times.

“On behalf of Chhattisgarh, I announce an aid amount of Rs 11 crore to help the people who are suffering due to heavy rains and landslides in Devbhoomi Himachal Pradesh. We all Chhattisgarhians stand with the people of Himachal and will collectively face the calamity and work for restoration of normalcy. We all pray to God to protect everyone,” CM Baghel said.

Himachal CM Sukhu met with the victims of the rain and flooding at Matehdi, Baldwara, Maseran, and Jukain of the Sarkaghat assembly sector in the Mandi district and assured them of all the support the government could provide.

The Chief Minister promised the affected families immediate financial support in the amount of Rs. 1 lakh each for the renovation of their partially destroyed homes. 23 households from Gram Panchayat Gehra, who had incurred significant losses as a result of the recent rainstorm, were also met by the Chief Minister. The district government was instructed by the chief minister to give them the greatest amenities at the relief camps where they took shelter

Chief Minister said, “The scale of devastation across the entire state due to heavy rains and landslides is massive. The estimated losses from the disaster were estimated to be around Rs 10,000 crore.”.
