CRPF provides safe passage, ensures security of pilgrims during Amarnath Yatra in Srinagar

Officials have highlighted the vital role played by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in ensuring the safety and assistance of pilgrims undertaking the Amarnath Yatra in Srinagar. According to the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Srinagar North Range CRPF, the presence of CRPF personnel along the Yatra route and in Srinagar is essential for maintaining security and providing aid to the pilgrims.

“The CRPF plays a crucial role in providing safe passage and assistance to the pilgrims of the Amarnath Yatra in Srinagar. The CRPF personnel are deployed along the Yatra route and in Srinagar to ensure the security and well-being of the pilgrims,” stated the official.

CRPF conducts regular security checks to ensure smooth movement of pilgrims

The CRPF’s responsibilities during the Yatra include conducting regular security checks, maintaining law and order, and facilitating the smooth movement of pilgrims. They work closely with local authorities, such as the Jammu and Kashmir Police, to create a secure environment and address any potential security threats.

In collaboration with other agencies, the paramilitary force provides various assistance services to pilgrims, including medical camps, transportation facilities, communication networks, and emergency response teams. The personnel are well-trained and equipped to handle any emergencies that may arise, offering prompt assistance to the pilgrims when needed.

CRPFs presence boosts the confidence of Amarnath Yatra pilgrims

The efforts and presence of the central paramilitary force instil confidence among the pilgrims and contribute to the safe and successful completion of the Amarnath Yatra in Srinagar. Their dedication ensures that thousands of devotees can undertake the Yatra in a peaceful and secure manner, making it a memorable pilgrimage experience.

This year’s Amarnath Yatra has witnessed a surge in the number of devotees, surpassing last year’s total. Notably, the pilgrimage has attracted distinguished personalities from various fields, including badminton player Saina Nehwal and Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan. Furthermore, the Yatra has seen an increase in the number of foreign pilgrims visiting the holy shrine, reflecting its spiritual allure beyond national boundaries.

The CRPF, so far has played a crucial role in the overall success and safety of the Amarnath Yatra, allowing devotees from around the world to partake in this spiritually enriching journey.
