Early on Wednesday, a large fire was reported to have started at a plywood store in New Delhi’s Gandhi Nagar neighbourhood.
The Delhi Fire Service said that the fire had been put out and that no one had been hurt or lost their lives.
21 fire vehicles were dispatched to the scene, according to Rajendra Atwal, a division officer with the Delhi Fire Service.
“We received the call at 4:07 am, and 21 fire vehicles are currently on the scene. As there is plywood involved, which has a high fire load, it will take some time to totally put out the fire. The building has also developed fractures. The MCD will evaluate it further, according to Atwal.
Due to the shop being closed, no casualties or injuries have been reported, the official stated.
The shop’s owner claims that the fire started this morning at 3.30 am.
“Thirteen minutes after the fire started, my brother called me. I was dozing. Somewhere in the back of the business, the fire began. Firefighters quickly arrived to put out the fire after we called the police for assistance, he claimed.
In the meantime, nine people were hurt overall after a fire started early today at a factory located in Mayapuri, Delhi, according to officials.
The factory’s ground level is where sofa springs are stacked, and there is where the fire started. According to authorities, the couch springs’ shipping package caught fire.
According to officials, most of the injured were industrial workers who were being treated at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital.
In a previous incident, a fire started on July 30 at a factory in the Udyog Nagar neighbourhood of outer Delhi.
However, officials stated there were no known fatalities or injuries from the fire.
