RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Affirms: ‘Devotion to Bharat Mata Applicable to Everyone, Holds Us Together’

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat on Oct 24, addressed the annual RSS Vijayadashami Utsav in Nagpur. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were also present at the event.

In the event the RSS chief talked emphasized the unifying power of devotion to Bharat Mata, irrespective of caste, sect, or religion. Bhagwat remarked that the residents of India share common ancestors, and their devotion to the motherland binds them together.

Addressing the event he said, “This is the blessing of Bharat Mata. Devotion to Bharat Mata is what holds us all together. This is applicable to all castes, sects, religions,”

The RSS chief further said that people should follow those who had strived hard to preserve the country’s culture and civilizational heritage.

Talking about the Dharmic faiths, Bhagwat said, “truth, compassion, internal and external purity of heart and penance are four principles “of all our Dharmic faiths”

Mohan Bhagwat also emphasized India’s inclusive nature, where people from various faiths, including those influenced by foreign invasions, find a place. He pointed out that India’s unity amidst linguistic, regional, religious, and cultural diversities surprises and attracts the world.

Turning his attention to the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Bhagwat urged citizens to cast their votes based on issues of unity, integrity, identity, and the country’s development. He discouraged attempts to inflame emotions for the sake of votes, as such actions can harm societal unity.

“Let us avoid these things, as they hurt the unity of the society. To cast vote is the duty of every citizen, and we must follow it. Cast your vote keeping in mind the vital issues of unity, integrity, identity, and development of the country,” he said.

Bhagwat also applauded the successful hosting of G20 Summit, “The hospitality of Indians was praised. People from different countries experienced our diversity. They saw our diplomatic skills as well as our honest goodwill. Our leadership gave India a place in the world,” Mohan Bhagwat said in his address.

Slamming the opposition party and calling them threat Bhagwat said, “There are some people in the world and in also India who do not want India should move forward. They try to create factions and clashes in society. Because of our unawareness and lack of belief, we also sometimes get entangled in it, and unnecessary nuisances are created. If India progresses, they will not be able to play their games; therefore, they continuously oppose. They adopt particular ideologies just for the sake of opposing”
