On the completion of three years of the National Education Policy (NEP), Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan highlighted the policy’s focus on providing education to students in their mother tongue. Speaking to ANI during the ‘Gyan Kumbh’ exhibition, the Union Minister mentioned that a significant number of students from different parts of the country are participating in the event, and the NEP has prioritized imparting education in their mother tongue.
The New Education Policy, launched in 2020, aims to revolutionize India’s education landscape by promoting inclusive and accessible learning opportunities. Recognizing the importance of mother tongue-based education, the policy emphasizes the use of native languages as a medium of instruction for young learners. The event’s 16 sessions covered various themes, including Access to Quality Education and Governance, Equitable and Inclusive Education, and the Internationalisation of Education.
