Dushyant Gautam of the BJP criticizes the presence of a Hamas representative in a pro-Palestine protest in Kerala, calling it “anti-national activity”

BJP MP Dushyant Gautam expressed worry on Saturday about Hamas leader Khaled Mashal’s attendance at a pro-Palestine protest in Kerala, calling it “anti-national activity” and requesting that the state’s CPI(M)-led administration put an end to it.
Additionally, the BJP representative attacked the India bloc, claiming that members of the opposition alliance are attempting “such efforts to degrade Sanatan Dharma and Hindu religion” in response to Mashal’s virtual attendance at the event on Friday in Malappuram, Kerala.

“Every terrorist organization is opposed by the nation and the Indian government. We reject Hamas. It is anti-national behavior for the head of Hamas to be present at the gathering. The state government ought to put an end to this. Gautam told ANI, “People in the INDIA alliance are always trying to undermine the Hindu religion and Sanatan Dharma.
The youth arm of Jamaat-Islami in Kerala, Solidarity Youth Movement, hosted the event, which the leader of Hamas attended. Mashal, a former head of Hamas, spoke to the group essentially in Arabic.
A poster with the message “Uproot bulldozer Hindutva and apartheid Zionism” could be seen in the event clip.

K Surendran, president of the Kerala BJP, criticized the state government and declared that such incidents were intolerable.
“The virtual speech given by Hamas leader Khaled Mashel at the Solidarity gathering in Malappuram is concerning. Where is the Kerala Police of Pinarayi Vijayan? Clad in the banner of “Save Palestine,” they are elevating the terrorist group Hamas and its leaders to the status of “warriors.” This has to stop! HMO India,” K Surendran wrote on Friday on X.
On Saturday, day 22 of the Israel-Hamas conflict began. India declared that there can be no equivocation in the world community’s condemnation of “the horrific terrorist attack on Israel” on October 7 and that solidarity is required in the fight against terrorism in all of its forms and manifestations.

“There was also the Palestine problem, on which we have reaffirmed our support for direct talks aimed at achieving a two-state solution. We have also conveyed our worries on the humanitarian crisis and civilian losses. In a media briefing earlier this month, Arindam Bagchi, a spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, stated, “We would urge the strict observance of international humanitarian law.”
