On Tuesday evening, earthquake tremors were detected in north India, including Delhi and surrounding areas, with many people flocking to open spaces as a precaution.

According to the National Institute for Seismology, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 on the Richter Scale struck 133 kilometres southeast of Fayzabad, Afghanistan, today at 10:17 p.m.

Tremors were felt in Punjab also. In Ludhiana, like in other cities, many people came in open spaces.

Many people in Jammu and Kashmir also rushed out from their homes after tremors were felt.
