Elon Musk recently introduced a new feature for users on his social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter). Musk stated that the platform’s recommendation algorithm will guarantee that all of a user’s followers will see their pinned post every 48 hours.
A pinned post refers to a social media post that is anchored at the top of your page or profile on platforms such as Facebook or Twitter. Pinning a post is an effective way to showcase an important announcement or highlight your best content.
To prevent any manipulation of the system, Musk clarified that this feature will only apply to one pinned post every two days. He stated, “This rule exists to prevent any exploitation of the system.”
In a post on February 21, Musk mentioned on X, “When you pin a post, it will automatically be included in your highlights section. In the near future, we will adjust the algorithm to prioritize displaying pinned posts to your followers. However, this will be limited to once per day to prevent any misuse of the system.”
As the platform progresses, these modifications are expected to transform the way users engage with content and advertisements on X, offering more choices for a personalized and smooth user experience.
