The Gurugram Police has summoned Elvish Yadav, the winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2, for questioning after a video surfaced showing him assaulting YouTuber Sagar Thakur, known as Maxtern. The police issued a notice to Yadav, instructing him to come for the interrogation at Sector 53 Police Station of Gurugram on Tuesday, March 12.
The viral clip saw Elvish Yadav physically assaulting Maxtern at a garments shop, resulting from an ongoing social media clash between the two YouTubers. Maxtern, primarily a gaming content creator, accused Elvish Yadav of promoting hate and propaganda through fan pages, leading to distress. In response, Yadav justified his actions in an Instagram video titled “first plan and play victim,” claiming that Maxtern had threatened to harm him and his parents.
In his explanation, Yadav stated that he had invited Maxtern to his home on the day of the incident, but leaked chat screenshots were used to provoke him. Allegedly, Maxtern made threatening statements about Yadav’s family, leading to verbal abuse and a heated confrontation.
Elvish Yadav Yadav argued that he was set up, with hidden cameras capturing the incident. Although he admitted to threatening Maxtern, he asserted it was in the “heat of the moment” and justified his actions by citing offensive comments against his family as the trigger.
Elvish Yadav has a history of controversies, and he is currently embroiled in legal issues related to the snake venom-rave party case, accused of involvement in the supply and use of snake venom.
