The TV Academy and Fox, the 2023 broadcaster, are currently in negotiations to determine the exact rescheduled date, which is expected to be after SAG-AFTRA and the Writers Guild of America reach an agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.
The postponement is the first for the Emmy Awards in over twenty years. Despite the change in the ceremony date, phase two voting for the Emmy Awards is still proceeding as planned, with TV Academy members set to vote on the nominees starting from August 17.
