A father and son in Moradabad reportedly abducted a Dalit girl and then raped her. The incident raises suspicion of forced religious conversion
In a distressing event in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, an incident of alleged abduction and rape has come to light. According to reports, the accused have been identified as Mohd Salman and his father, Mohd Nabi. The reports state that the accused duo abducted a Dalit girl and subjected her to sexual assault. Additionally, the reports further revealed that the girl was also forcefully taken to Kaliya Sharif Dargah which intensified the gravity of the situation and raised suspicion of an attempted forced religious conversion.
However, immediate action was taken by the police which led to the prompt rescue of the girl, followed by the arrest of the son, Mohd Salman.
Nonetheless, the incident has, once again, sparked outrage among the public and has renewed calls for stringent measures to combat such crimes against women, especially the ones belonging to marginalized communities. Currently, the authorities are conducting thorough investigations to ensure justice for the victim and hold the perpetrators accountable for their alleged actions.
