Film Producer EXPOSED Running a 2,000 Cr Drug Smuggling

The NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) successfully exposed an International drugs trafficking with arresting three people and seizing about 50kg of narcotics making chemicals being sent to Australia and New Zealand. The operation, centered around the smuggling of pseudoephedrine, a crucial chemical in the manufacturing process of methamphetamine or crystal meth, has garnered the interest of law enforcement agencies both domestically and internationally.

It was being traded getting it sealed in the food powder and desiccated coconut.

Acting on intelligence shared by Australian and New Zealand authorities four months prior, a collaborative effort between the NCB and the special cell of Delhi Police uncovered a network involved in smuggling “large quantities” of pseudoephedrine disguised within desiccated coconut powder to both countries from India, revealed NCB Deputy Director General (DDG) Gyaneshwar Singh in an official statement.

Additionally, information from the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) pinpointed Delhi as the source of these illicit shipments, Singh elaborated.

The joint operation conducted by NCB and special cell officials on February 15 targeted a godown situated in the Basai Darapur area of West Delhi. This raid resulted in the confiscation of 50 kg of pseudoephedrine, cleverly concealed within a consignment of multi-grain food mix, and the apprehension of three individuals from Tamil Nadu, Singh highlighted.

Pseudoephedrine

According to the NCB, pseudoephedrine, a precursor chemical utilized in the production of methamphetamine, commonly known as meth, commands a market value of approximately Rs 1.5 crore per kilogram in Australia and New Zealand.

The detained individuals informed the NCB that they had dispatched a total of 45 shipments comprising roughly 3,500 kilograms of pseudoephedrine, valued at over Rs 2,000 crore in the global market, during the past three years.
