A fire that erupted in a girls’ PG in Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi, resulted in the rescue of 35 students on Wednesday evening, according to a senior fire services official. Among these rescued individuals, five suffered minor injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment at a Mukherjee Nagar hospital.
The distress call reporting the fire at the Signature apartment in Mukherjee Nagar prompted a rapid response from the Delhi Fire Services. A team comprising 20 fire tenders swiftly arrived at the scene and initiated firefighting efforts. Fortunately, the fire was successfully brought under control within an hour, and there were no reported casualties in the incident.
While the exact cause of the fire is still under investigation, preliminary findings suggest that a short circuit may have triggered the blaze. Additional details regarding the incident are pending further investigation.
