Despite Alpine facing challenges in the previous season, Gasly secured a third-place finish at Zandvoort, and Ocon reached the podium in Monaco.
Looking forward, Gasly expressed optimism about the upcoming season, highlighting changes made to the car and a fresh approach taken by the team. Alpine aims for a steeper development curve and a more competitive performance.
Gasly emphasized that he is in his best physical and mental shape, having gained experience over seven years in Formula 1. He acknowledged the need to gauge the performance of the new car and work on improvement from there. The driver spent the off-season practicing in Dubai, acclimating to the hotter conditions in preparation for the first races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
Despite the intense physical demands of the F1 season, Gasly is confident in his preparation. He mentioned the positive impact of training alongside his former teammate Yuki Tsunoda in Dubai, engaging in karting sessions, gym workouts, and other competitive activities.
