Hyderabad, Telangana – G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister and Telangana BJP chief, exercised his democratic right today as he arrived at a polling station in Barkatpura, Hyderabad, to cast his vote. Amid the ongoing state Assembly elections, Reddy emphasized the significance of the right to vote as a powerful tool that should be wielded wisely.
“Right to vote is a very important weapon that should be used wisely. We should not waste our vote. I request all the voters to please come out of your homes and vote,” urged G Kishan Reddy, echoing the sentiment that responsible voting is fundamental to a healthy democracy.
As the state witnesses a triangular contest between the BJP, Congress, and the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), each vote holds immense importance in shaping the future political landscape of Telangana. Reddy’s call for voters to actively participate in the democratic process reflects the critical nature of the ongoing elections.
The polling stations in Barkatpura and across the state have seen a steady influx of voters since the morning, as citizens fulfill their civic duty in deciding the fate of the 2,290 candidates from various national and regional parties. Among these candidates are 221 women and one transgender individual, vying for the support of the 3.17 crore eligible voters in Telangana.
As the day progresses, the electoral dynamics unfold, and political leaders like G Kishan Reddy actively participating in the voting process underscores the democratic spirit of the nation. The results of the Telangana Assembly elections will be eagerly anticipated, as they will determine the composition of the state’s legislative body and the direction of its governance in the coming years.
