Congratulations, India.” Alongside this announcement, ISRO released captivating footage showcasing the Vikram lander as it made its historic touchdown on the lunar surface. The video also captured the rover embarking on its “moonwalk,” with the Indian national flag visibly displayed on its back.

Earlier setbacks, including the Chandrayaan-2 lander’s unfortunate loss of contact, have not deterred the organization’s commitment to exploring the cosmos and pushing the boundaries of technology.

The rover and lander are primed to conduct a range of tasks during their operational period of one lunar day, equivalent to 14 days on Earth.
