Himachal Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, dedicated projects worth Rs 88.78 crore in the Kasauli assembly segment of Solan district on Friday. During his one-day tour to the area, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 13 development projects totaling Rs 88.78 crore in Kasauli.
Addressing the ongoing political crisis in the state, the Chief Minister expressed concern, stating, “On February 28, when the budget was set to be passed in the House, they went to the Speaker on February 27 and threatened him. This reflects their mindset. They (BJP) have compromised their integrity. Those who rebelled were met with the intervention of the CRPF, Haryana Police, and helicopters. They arrived by helicopter and did not participate in the Assembly during the budget session, which included proposals benefiting the poor and farmers.”
Seeking the support of the people to make the hill state self-reliant, Sukhu emphasized, “I will not be deterred by those engaged in corruption. I need your support. I assure you that within the next five years, we will make Himachal self-reliant.”
In addition to these remarks, Sukhu inaugurated several projects, including the Rs 12.69 crore Government Degree College in Dharampur at Mandodhar, the Rs 72 lakh Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) Rest House at Sabzi Mandi Dharampur, and the Rs 8.01 crore Lift Water Supply Schemes for Barog, Bohali, and Bhojnagar habitations in the Kasauli assembly constituency.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stones for various infrastructure developments, including the up-gradation of roads and the construction of facilities such as the improvement and strengthening of Sukhi Johari Kanda Katal Ka Bag road, link road to village Bhanet, Science Lab at GSSS Sultanpur, improvement of LIS Haripur, Gram Panchayat Bhawan Sultanpur, and the up-gradation of industrial roads in Parwanoo township and Him Era Shop in Jabli, collectively valued at Rs 54.26 crore.
