Indian wrestler Sangram Singh is gearing up for an intense showdown on the mat against Pakistan’s Muhammad Saeed at the highly anticipated International Pro Wrestling Championship 2024. The event, organized by the World Professional Wrestling Hub, is scheduled to take place at the Shabab Alahli Club in Dubai on Saturday, featuring a lineup of thrilling matches.

Singh, the Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion, expressed his excitement for the competition, highlighting the significance of wrestling as a sport that embodies gentlemanly conduct. He aims to inspire the youth through this event, aligning with the ideology of FIT India and emphasizing that age is no barrier to success in the ring.

“I look forward to a great fight against Muhammad Saeed and consider this event as the perfect opportunity to make my anticipated comeback,” said Singh during a press conference. He thanked the Dubai Sports Council for their support in promoting the sport of wrestling.

Gyan Singh, an Olympian and former India Chief Coach, commended Singh’s role as an ambassador for wrestling and emphasized the importance of growing the sport in India. He wished Singh the best for his upcoming bout in Dubai.

The event will feature five matches, including the headline event between Singh and Saeed. Other matchups include international wrestlers such as Ilias Bekbulatov from Russia, Damon Kemp from the USA, Andrea Carolina from Columbia, Vescan Cynthia from France, Bader Ali from the UAE, Mbo Isomi Aron from Congo, Mimi Hristova from Bulgaria, and Skiba Monika from Poland.

Representatives from the Dubai Sports Council expressed their warm welcome to all participating wrestlers, acknowledging India’s historical prominence in the sport. They emphasized the high level of competition expected at the championship and wished all wrestlers the best.

Parveen Gupta, Entrepreneur & Promoter of World Professional Wrestling Hub, expressed gratitude to the Dubai Sports Council for their support in organizing the event. He highlighted the championship as a platform to showcase elite wrestlers from around the world and elevate the standard of wrestling globally.

The International Pro Wrestling Championship 2024 in Dubai aims to reshape the perception of wrestling, providing both professional and amateur wrestlers with a global platform to compete at the highest level. With an impressive lineup of talent, the event promises to be a thrilling showcase of the sport’s prowess and talent.
