In a heartening display of compassion and collaboration, the Indian Army, in conjunction with the Indrani Balan Foundation based in Pune, has successfully facilitated life-saving surgery for Master Burhan, a 9-year-old student from Baramulla.
Master Burhan, a pupil at Dagger Parivaar School in Baramulla under the administration of the Indian Army’s Dagger Division and the Indrani Balan Foundation, was diagnosed with a critical cardiac condition. However, financial constraints stood as a significant obstacle to accessing necessary medical treatment.
Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the Indian Army’s Dagger Division swiftly intervened, providing crucial support and assistance. Dr. Tariq Rashid, a cardiologist at Government Medical College, Baramulla, conducted an initial assessment of Burhan on December 22, 2023, recommending a catheterization study and subsequent heart surgery, which necessitated advanced medical facilities available in Delhi.
Through close collaboration with medical experts from the Indian Army and the Indrani Balan Foundation in Pune, arrangements were made for Burhan’s treatment at the Army Hospital Research and Referral Hospital in Delhi Cantt. Despite the complexities involved in medical procedures and associated expenses, the joint efforts ensured that Burhan received the necessary care without delay.
The successful outcome of Master Burhan’s surgery is a testament to the unwavering commitment of the Indian Army and the Indrani Balan Foundation to extend humanitarian aid and ensure access to vital medical care for individuals in need. This collaborative endeavor reaffirms their dedication to serving the community and upholding the values of compassion and service.
The partnership between the Indian Army and the Indrani Balan Foundation highlights the power of collective action in making a tangible difference in the lives of those facing medical challenges, showcasing the spirit of unity and empathy.
