After the bomb explosion near the Israeli embassy in New Delhi on Tuesday, the Israel National Security Council issued guidelines for Israelis in India, particularly New Delhi, advising them to avoid crowded places and locations frequented by Western or Israeli visitors.

A call reporting a blast near the Israel Embassy in the Chanakyapuri diplomatic area prompted the Delhi Police response on Tuesday evening. Subsequently, a letter addressed to the Israeli ambassador was discovered near the embassy, and relevant evidence has been sent for forensic examination.

Israel’s Deputy Ambassador to India, Ohad Nakash Kaynar, assured on Tuesday that embassy staff and diplomats are safe, with security teams actively investigating the incident. The Israel National Security Council acknowledged the possibility of an attack with the bomb explosion on December 26.

Emphasizing safety measures for Israelis in India, the advisory urged them to avoid crowded places, malls, and markets, especially those frequented by Western, Jewish, and Israeli elements. It also recommended maintaining a low profile in public spaces, including restaurants, hotels, and bars, and avoiding participation in unsecured events.

Furthermore, the advisory cautioned against sharing trip details on social media, urging people to refrain from posting photos and visit details before and during the trip.

Following the incident, the Israeli Deputy Ambassador confirmed the explosion’s occurrence in close proximity to the embassy, emphasizing the safety of embassy workers and diplomats. Security teams are collaborating with local Delhi security for a thorough investigation.
