In anticipation of hosting the G20 summit, New Delhi has undergone a vibrant transformation. The vicinity near Jama Masjid has been adorned with a tricolour display of flowers and colorful umbrellas.
The area surrounding Jama Masjid now boasts G20 logos and banners proudly proclaiming India’s G20 presidency, with this year’s theme being ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ – One Earth, One Family, One Future. Jama Masjid, a 17th-century mosque constructed during the rule of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, graces the historic streets of Old Delhi.

The authorities have meticulously enhanced the appearance of roads, footpaths, roundabouts, markets, flyovers, and public spaces by adding over 1 lakh potted plants. Furthermore, over 3 thousand trees and an impressive 9 lakh saplings have been planted throughout New Delhi.
