The seismic activity occurred at 08:53 am, with the epicenter located at 33.34 latitude and 76.70 longitude, striking at a depth of 5 km.
The NCS shared the earthquake details on X, stating, “Earthquake of Magnitude:3.6, Occurred on 16-01-2024, 08:53:53 IST, Lat: 33.34 & Long: 76.70, Depth: 5 Km, Location: Jammu & Kashmir, India.” Fortunately, there have been no significant reports of damage or injuries as a result of the earthquake.
