Jharkhand Governor, CM Pay Their Respects to CRPF Constable Killed in Chaibasa IED Blast

Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan and Chief Minister Hemant Soren expressed their condolences and paid their respects to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) CoBRA Battalion constable Rajesh Kumar, who tragically lost his life in an IED blast in Chaibasa the previous day.

Governor Radhakrishnan emphasized their commitment to eradicating Naxalism from Jharkhand and stated, “CM and I are in constant consultation. A comprehensive plan will soon be put into action. We are confident that we will eliminate Naxalism from Jharkhand.”

Chief Minister Soren, after honoring the fallen soldier, remarked on the sacrifice made during the Naxal operation, saying, “A CRPF jawan laid down his life during the Naxal operation. It is a moment of sorrow, but it also fills us with pride that our brave soldier made the ultimate sacrifice to rid our state of Naxalism. His sacrifice will not be in vain.”

During an anti-insurgency operation in the Tonto Thana area of West Singhbhum on Thursday, two CRPF personnel, including an inspector-ranked officer, were injured in IED blasts. The deceased has been identified as Constable Rajesh Kumar, and the injured party is Inspector Bhupendra Kumar, both from CRPF’s 209 Battalion.

In a separate incident on Thursday, Naxal insurgents ambushed a security forces contingent in the dense forests near Sarjo Maburu village. This attack involved both gunfire and an IED explosion.
