Ansari’s son, Umar Ansari, claimed that his father was administered poison in his food, pointing fingers at a sinister conspiracy. “On March 19, he was given poison in the dinner,” Umar Ansari asserted, highlighting the family’s distrust in the circumstances surrounding Ansari’s demise. Despite the assertions, the truth remains shrouded in uncertainty, awaiting further investigation.

Bahujan Samaj Party Chief Mayawati has urged for a thorough investigation into Ansari’s death, citing the serious allegations raised by his family. In a post on X, Mayawati emphasized the necessity for a high-level probe to unveil the truth behind Ansari’s demise, acknowledging the family’s grief in such trying times.
Ansari’s journey from a notorious gangster to a convicted criminal culminated in his demise, punctuated by legal battles and controversial episodes. In April 2023, he was convicted and sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for the murder of BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai. Subsequently, on March 13, 2024, he was handed a life sentence for his involvement in a case related to forged documents for obtaining an arms licence in 1990.
