Khattar Resigns, Paves Way for Nayab Saini in Karnal

Former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced his resignation from the Karnal assembly seat during a session in the House, clearing the path for the new CM, Nayab Singh Saini.

In his address to the Assembly, Khattar stated that Saini would now represent the Karnal constituency. He emphasized his commitment to fulfilling any responsibilities assigned by the party.

Khattar’s announcement followed shortly after the Nayab Saini government secured the trust vote in the Assembly.

Reflecting on his tenure as chief minister, Khattar admitted to lacking extensive experience in the role. He shared insights gained from consultations with the Prime Minister and his approach to learning from both interactions with the public and opposition challenges.

Highlighting the transition of leadership to Nayab Saini, Khattar emphasized the dynamic learning process inherent in assuming such a position.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and his cabinet ministers tendered their resignations on Tuesday, swiftly replaced by BJP state president and Kurukshetra MP Nayab Singh Saini. The BJP’s reorganization in Haryana, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, marked the end of its four-and-a-half-year alliance with the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) led by Dushyant Chautala.
